Making a city for people is a challenge. Even terribly complex: many directions, each of which must take account of each other, but must be developed according to certain of its own principles. And there's no ideal in this case, so the process of humanizing the city is a little more than eternal.

One of the cornerstones on which everything is held is public space. These are entrances, yards, streets, squares and parks. We'll talk about the last of them today, because they're not so many, but they all use them, plus they occupy a large part of the city for people in the minds of the city and officials. If you remember, Moscow's humanization began a lot of things from the parks when they were cleaned up and everyone saw how welcoming the city might be.

To describe the principles of a good park, we're going to take the example of the Olympic Village Park 80, which was recently reconstructed.
01. The first and foremost principle of creating a comfortable public space, including parks, that it should attract people. Different people, different ages, different interests and requests. Therefore, the establishment of a park is not limited to planting trees, setting up a playground and a shop, and the question needs to be looked at considerably more broadly. For example, there's a universal adoption in the form of water bodies - water attracts people. Especially when there's direct access to her:

But if the pond doesn't work, it's possible to create fountains.

04. It's impossible to imagine good public space without benches. Well, you can't make people comfortable, making them stand all the time, you want to sit in a comfortable place. It's a fact. Plus, people have a characteristic to charter. But there are two points of view on the urns in the bench: one doesn't like it, and others notice that in these places, debris is most commonly generated, so bench urns are needed. I'm on the mid--- the urns should be around, but not close to the bench. Plus, they don't have to dominate sitting. In this regard, the Olympic Village Park failed:

05. Activity is an important thing. To walk among trees, waters and benches early or later, and we want to make a public space that would function and attract people around the year. So we need spaces for different groups of people. Let's go from little to big:

06. Do the kids well, and they'll bring their parents. A very universal rule. But it's not that simple, because the playgrounds aren't a swing of bright colors, their role in the development of children is much wider than many people think. Children ' s zones for children of different ages should be divided: small, medium and adult.
